Watched the Fake Spike game on NFL Network this weekend to relive that miserable memory of watching that in person. Still cannot believe the Jets let that slip away. Dolphins fumbled a punt with 5 minutes left and Jets up by 3 and still lost! What would have happened with they won that and went onto make the playoffs. Pete Carroll would have kept his job instead of Kotite taking over….
I think that is me right above Julian’s….so funny to see this pic. I was so exited to see these two at the game. #jets #strokes #casablancas #cocnutrecords #
The REAL #6 for the Jets. Also the best Jets analyst in the media. Ray had them rolling in ‘99…if they made the playoffs…NO ONE would have wanted to play them. #jets #raylucas #nyj
Jets History: Dec 14, 2003 Curtis Martin Rushes For 174 Yards In “The Snow Game.” To celebrate the blizzard that is on the way, we bring you part II of our snow series. The Jets beat the Steelers 6-0 in a year that saw Gang Green end up 6-10. We remember Martin running that day thinking “Herm should be getting a look at Lamont Jordan.” Edwards never really did. Curtis wound up where he belonged. In the Hall. #jets #NYC #NFL #Nemo #RexRyan #HermEdwards #NFLFilms
I remember being at this game…it was absolutely freezing. Sat with my Steeler-fan cousin who was disgusted. Feel lucky to have watched possibly the best Jet in franchise history throughout his entire career.
Could have been one of the greats…i’ll never forget watching first-hand the two games he showed potential…’93 against Eagles (7-146-3 TDs)(Eric Allen game) and ‘94 against Dolphins (fake spike game). Was dominant then….vanished.
Jets History: NY Times Writer Gerald Eskanazi Once Asked Tearful Punter Chuck Ramsey Why He Was Crying After A Game Against the Seahawks:
Ramsey answered “How would you feel if the coach told you in front of the entire team ‘I can fart farther than you can punt’?”
Yikes. Sounds like that must have been Walt Michaels
$25 million QB of the future. Again…Jets fan…things can be worse.
